About Rylan

I’m Rylan. I’m a licensed therapist (LMFT) who works with children, teens, and adults from a client-centered approach focused on mindfulness and self-compassion. Therapy is a collaborative process, so we’re going to build your ideal outcomes together.

Traditional therapy practices often get stuck on the inward journey. This means that talk therapy, done in isolation, can feel repetitive and stifling. I help people discover meaningful activities, friendships, and embodied games and hobbies (forms of play!) to complement and enhance the important work of connecting mindfully to oneself, which we will certainly emphasize. Play and embodied experience are central themes of my work, and it’s been remarkably effective for my clients.

My work is trauma-informed, LBGTQI+ affirming and inclusive. I’ve been lucky to provide therapy services to people of diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, identities, and chosen families.

When I’m not doing therapy, I like eating plants, reading books, and climbing. 🧗‍♂️
